Winning for Rochdale with Nick Clegg's record breaking Lib Dems

"On May 1st, you chose another 2 years under the Liberal Democrats! Labour had their worst result EVER and nearly came a disastrous 3rd behind the Conservatives!"

Rochdale Borough Liberal Democrats

Age 65, married for 32 years to Margaret, we have three children and we are contented grandparents.

Prior to retirement I worked for Rochdale Council.

I was initially educated in Doncaster and have since continued my education at Hopwood Hall College, as a mature student, studying history, politics and law.

Like a lot of people I supported the Labour Party following the Thatcher regime but once it became clear that they had abandoned their social democratic ideals I applied to join the Liberal Democrat Party - I have not regretted the decision once.

I am a strong believer in the local Liberal Democrat manifesto and if elected I will fight for its full implementation.

We need a cleaner environment and many more facilities for young people. We should be improving roads and footpaths not knocking down well-loved schools.
