No to new homes on Broad Lane - Public Meeting - Weds 13th June

June 6, 2012 4:19 PM

Invitation from Councillor Dale Mulgrew

I invite you to come along and have your say regarding the

proposed planning application 12/D55400 submitted by Wainhomes

and the development plans announced by Taylor Wimpey (at the Councillor Dale Mulgrew

same location) at a public meeting I have organised with several

local community leaders.

As many of you will know, the plans will see around 200 new homes

built on land just off Broad Land near the M62 bridge. Having

spoken to many of you already, I know that there are strong

concerns about these development proposals.

Please come along to St Mary's Church, Balderstone, off

Oldham Road on Wednesday 13th June at 7pm.

At this meeting will be local Councillors who represent several local

areas, as these plans have implications for the Kingsway Ward as

well as the Balderstone and Kirkholt Ward (which is the ward

containing the Broad Lane site). There will also be a chance for local

residents to be made fully aware of all the details associated with

these development proposals and the many concerns that the

different neighbourhoods hold in respect of such plans. There will be

a chance for you to contribute to the meeting to help decide what

course of action should be followed next.

For more information please feel free to contact me on the details

below.

Thanks,

Cllr Dale Mulgrew
