10,000 Trees Campaign

Everyone likes trees- (we hope!), They create oxygen, capture carbon emissions, prevent flooding and encourage wildlife to thrive and grow. That's why we're teaming up with the Woodland Trust to plant 10,000 trees across the Pennines Township in Rochdale.

We have run a couple of pilot projects in the past and the take up has been phenomenal, so this year we're asking people to register in advance.

All you need is the land owners permission and a good spade, and we can provide the rest.

We can only provide native trees and they will arrive as small saplings. Don't forget we are asking people to create a greener, healthier environment for future generations.

Where appropriate we can also provide tree guards to stop the saplings being eaten (by the very creatures we are encouraging to thrive!)

You don't need to have acres of land to get involved either. Private landowners and sports clubs are getting involved and offering larger plots to be 'rewilded'. So we will be asking for volunteers to get involved in planting over the next six months. (all socially distanced of course!)

This is open to anyone in Littleborough, Smithybridge, Wardle, Milnrow & Newhey, Firgrove, Belfield & Smallbridge

So, why not join us in our campaign to plant 10,000 trees across the township!
