Barrie Nicholson Selected For Central Rochdale Ward In Local Elections

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this.

My name is Barrie Nicholson, a small business owner, married to Ayshea with three sons and seven grandchildren. Family is the most important thing to me, as I know it will be to many of you, and their future is our primary concern.

Bringing opportunity to them, both for education and work will be my main focus to give them a bright future.

Whilst our new shopping centre is a very welcome addition to our town as a business owner it kills me to see the constant decline of our historic shopping and business centres, Yorkshire Street and Drake Street in particular.

For far too long they have been left without investment, not just in terms of money but also in terms of ideas and a belief that they can be vibrant centres of retail for our town.

Bringing business and footfall to our town centre will be my other main concern.
