Acute Pennine Trust under the spotlight again!

1 Aug 2006

Commenting on the fact that the Acute Pennine Trust will not be appointing a CE till Autumn - Rochdale MP - Paul Rowen said,

"I am rather disappointed that no appointment has been made as the under fire trust is rather rudderless at the moment - going from one crisis to the next. However this appointment is crucial and if I was going to be honest I would say that the Acute Pennine Trust has a history of poor management - so if time needs to be taken to get the right person then we are going have to accept that. This is a huge few months for the trust though and maybe we should be telling the Acute Pennine Trust that no decision should be made on the future of vital services such as Child Care, Maternity and A and E at Rochdale Infirmary and other hospitals.
