Councillor Peter Davison - Castleton Ward

21 Apr 2006

I am delighted to have the opportunity once again to stand for election to Castleton Ward.

Serving the residents of Castleton for the past six years has been a pleasure and with their help, I hope to continue my work for a further four years.

I have always put people before party politics and as an avid walker, I meet Castletonians like myself on a daily basis to chat and share their concerns.

We have new businesses opening, a major road safety scheme in progress, upgrading of the swimming pool and our community centre, replacement tree planting, floral displays in the centre of the village and I have financially helped our primary schools to complete work which could not be funded by the council. I have also assisted many community groups during my term of office.

Whilst there is still much to do in Castleton, I believe we have a bright future in what used to be the industrial heartland of Rochdale. Things can only get better!
