Experienced campaigner chosen for Norden by election

The Liberal Democrats have chosen the experienced campaigner Pat Colclough as their candidate in the Norden by election.

Pat served on Rochdale Council for four years and was Rochdale's representative on the Greater Manchester Police Authority. Due to the untimely death of the well respected Councillor Ann Metcalfe, Pat will be representing the Liberal Democrats at the by election on Thursday April 25th.

"Ann was a lovely person who I got on very well with even though we are from rival parties. Her death is a great loss to the people of Norden and the Borough." said Pat.

is committed to working as a full time councillor for the ward, saying "I promise that I will work tirelessly for the people of Norden, Ashworth and Birtle if elected in April. With my previous ward councillor experience I will be ready to go from day one on a full time basis"
