"Going from one mess to another" - was how one resident described the goings on at Rochdale Town Hall - after the local Rochdale Labour Party were suspended by their Regional Party Executive. This move comes amid reports of intimidation and bullying.

Rochdale Lib Dem Leader - Cllr. Alan Taylor said, "I am not surprised by this at all. I know that many Labour members feel betrayed by the current power sharing agreement between them and The Conservatives. I am aware that there has been a petition signed by more than 300 people against this and how long this unlikely coalition will survive remains to be seen?"

Meanwhile, despite protests the Labour / Conservative Coalition continues apace. They have made a disastrous start to life together and have already had to make a humiliating climb down on cutting our Community Centre and Bowling Green Budgets.
