Paul Rowen MP congratulates Infirmary staff!
This is a letter that Paul Rowen MP sent to the Rochdale Observer!
Dear Sir,
I would like to write to congratulate the staff at Rochdale Infirmary for picking up a national award for the 3rd year running. This award is a tribute to dedication and efforts of staff at the Infirmary for a considerable space of time - long may it continue.
The fact that 94% of patients suspected of having a heart attack receive the thrombolysis injection within an hour of the call is a testament to the efficiency of the staff at the Infirmary - this is 36% above the national average and when Parliaments sits again I will mark this achievement by putting down an Early Day Motion to congratulate the staff. This will bring this fantastic achievement to the attention of MP's across the country.
Over the last few months there have been a lot of negative stories about our Health Bosses, one thing that is in no doubt is Rochdalians value the work of each and everyone who works so hard at the Infirmary. The recent story about Central Rochdale having one of the worst life expectancies in the country was a cause for concern and I hope that staff at the Infirmary get a lift from this award.
This just goes to show how important it is to keep our existing Accident and Emergency Services in Rochdale. If it aint broke then don't fix it... once again well done to all the staff at the Infirmary involved.
Paul Rowen MP
