Paul Rowen MP - Putting Rochdale FIRST!

Rochdale MP Paul Rowen has claimed that the closure of Rochdale Infirmary's 'Walk In' Centre could lead to an increase in the spread of swine flu.

Rochdale Online revealed yesterday that the process of downsizing Rochdale Infirmary would begin next week.

Paul Rowen MP said: "This is another nail in the coffin for health services at Rochdale Infirmary.

"I have concerns that people with suspected swine flu with now be mingling with other patients as there will be no isolation unit.

"Make no mistake, no matter how health bosses spin this one - it is a reduction in the services provided at the Infirmary.

"With the current swine flu pandemic, this closure will dramatically increase waiting times that are already at a dangerous level."
