Stuck in Planning Limbo

For over a year, the issue around planning for "It's All in the Image" has loomed large, casting a shadow over our community. Despite being informed of their repeated breaches of planning, Rochdale Council has failed to take decisive action.

The local manufacturer is breaking planning permission, which restricts the hours of operation for their business and the times in which HGV’s and commercial vehicles access their site. This breach has resulted in excessive noise and negatively impacted the quality of life for the residents in our community.

Andy Lord told focus, "The business has submitted a retrospective planning application to change their working hours, and until the application has been considered the planners are refusing to take enforcement action. The lack of resolution not only reflects poorly on the council's ability to address pressing concerns but also highlights the bureaucratic quagmire that hampers progress."
