Save Milnrow Post-Office
Post Office Limited are proposing to close Milnrow Post Office, and the Liberal Democrats hav sworn to keep the post office open.
The proposal by the Post Office Limited to close Milnrow Post Office has met with anger from local residents who use this service not only for the vital postal service, and access to government services, but also as the only place in the community that UK Banking can be accessed.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Irene Davidson said “This Post Office is a hub in our community for access to Council and Government services and to Banking Services such as accessing cash and paying in money and cheques. For many in our community the Post Office is a vital local service that helps them get through day to day.”
The proposed closure comes despite the Post Office being committed to the Franchising model that heavily criticised in the Post Office Inquiry into the Postmasters' scandal.
Irene added that “I hope that people will sign our petition to keep this post office open”

Save Milnrow Post Office
We the undersigned strongly object to the closure of Milnrow Post Office. The people who live in our village rely on this facility for a range of services including (not exclusively) cash transactions, postal services, UK Banking Services, and access to other government services. We demand in the strongest terms possible that the Post Office review this decision and look at investing in staff and facilities in Milnrow.
