Council offer 'finance management' to struggling businesses
Business folk who are struggling to keep their head above water during the financial storm are being invited to a seminar for guidance and support.
Rochdale Borough Council has organised the event at Rochdale Town Hall, in a bid to breathe new life into businesses that have fallen victim to the credit crunch.
It will take place on Monday 15 December at 6.30pm - and will focus finance and marketing.
Local businesspeople will get a handy insight into ways of controlling their money.
There'll also be a focus on marketing and how firms can make it more effective while spending less - with some ideas for trying something new.
Councillor Mohammad Sharif, cabinet member for regeneration on Rochdale Borough Council, said: "We know it's tough at the moment for local businesses so we are doing everything we can to help support them through the lean times.
"The current economic problems are affecting a wide variety of different types of company in the borough so we'd urge businesspeople to come along to this free seminar and get some help and advice that might help them beat the credit crunch."
There is no charge for the event, but places are limited - to book a place call 01706 925110 today.
This event is just one of a number of things that Rochdale Borough Council is doing to help support individuals and businesses through the credit crunch. More initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks, but for details of what help is already available, see www.rochdale.gov.uk/beatthecrunch
