Rochdale Constituency Labour Party has been rocked by accusations of bullying and intimidation. The Rochdale Party has been suspended by the Labour National Party until the complaints are fully investigated. No fewer than 5 complaints have been made and it is expected that it will be not until September until the situation is resolved.

Rochdale's Liberal Democrat Leader Cllr. Alan Taylor said, "I hope that their unfortunate situation is resolved as soon as possible - politics is a better place with an active opposition. We are fortunate in the Liberal Democrats to have a united party whose sole intention is to work as a team to put the interests of the people of Rochdale First! I know that many Members of the Labour Party and indeed supporters are upset that their Council Group have joined forces with The Conservatives and feel betrayed, a recent example of discontent was the petition against this."
