Paul Rowen has criticised has criticised underhand tactics from local health bosses following a meeting at Rochdale Infirmary.

Rochdale MP - Paul Rowen said,

"I have contacted John Willams, Head of Strategic Planning at the Health Authority who knew nothing about these 'plans'. He has assured me that the trust will not be allowed to pre-empt results of any consultation and he has assured me that cover will be provided if there are any staff shortages. I deplore the attempts of the Pennine Acute Management to try and bamboozle people into a decision which is not theirs to make. I have a clear assurance that the Urology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics Departments will be staying exactly where they are until the outcome of the consultation and would hope that they will be staying there for the future."
